This week, our crush is… *drum rolls*... Di’ja! We love her style, her voice and her super ‘Mavin’ energy! Here are 5 things you should know about her:

She is a Lion

Well, technically she is a lioness but she definitely doesn’t prance around the jungle! According to the horoscope, our diva Di’ja possesses the qualities of a Leo because she was born on the 14th of August. Leos are said to love being in the limelight, which is why many of them make a career in the performing arts. Totally not surprising!

She has a mixed race bloodline

Although we all know her as Di’ja, her real name is Hadiza Blell and she has a Nigerian mother from Zaria and a half Sierra Leonean, half Lebanese father! Little wonder she is a multi-linguist because she speaks Hausa and Krio (a Sierra Leonean tongue) fluently.

She’s a bookie

When Di’ja was a young kid, she was quite focused on her academics and was able to bag a double degree in Biology and Psychology! Beauty and brains? We just can’t get enough!

She’s got a unique sense of style

Di’ja is not your typical girlie girl! She is not afraid to rock her fros, embellished caftans and super cool sneakers. She owns her style and we love her for that!

She is a foodie

When an interviewer once asked her to list her hobbies, Di’ja said she loves eating! We didn’t know that eating was now a hobby but we have to ask, where does all the food go Di’ja? We all wish we could eat our bellies full and still come out with Di’ja’s banging body! Well, all we can do is wish!
